Do I have to test my popcorn ceiling before removal?
In California, textured ceiling material installed before 1981 is presumed to contain asbestos unless testing proves otherwise. Contractors and air districts generally require a lab report before disturbance.
How much of the ceiling gets damaged?
We take a coin-sized sample per homogeneous area, wetted and bagged on site. The patch is smaller than a light switch plate.
